Make USB Drives Faster [Vista]

If you leave your USB Flash Drive connected to your computer all
the time, it's possible to make it faster.

1. Click Start, type Device Manger and then click the Device
Manager link.

2. Expand the Disk Drives entry, right-click the USB disk icon and
select Properties.

3. On the Policies tab tick 'Optimize for performance' and click OK.

If you remove your USB drive, you'll have to do the above process
to gain the increased speed once you connect it again.
